I love weddings. It's true, I went a little crazy with my own wedding (I spent entire weekends wedding crafting for a solid 4 months at least) - but craziness aside, I truly found my passion.
I'm no wedding expert, but I certainly spend a lot of time on Pinterest looking at all the pretty wedding trends. I LOVE all the different themes going around at the moment, so here are my tips for choosing the best theme to suit you
1. Think Colours
Choosing a colour as a starting point is a great way to narrow down your choices. We all have colours we prefer more than others, so start with your favourite colours and go from there. Maybe you have a colour that you like the wear all the time, perhaps your venue has a existing colour scheme - these are all factors that can help guide you in the right direction.
Do you usually wear black and white? Or do you prefer darker colours? Perhaps earthy/organic tones are more you
2. Choose your season
Having a spring wedding? You will probably want a theme with light and bright elements. Or maybe it's an Autumn wedding? Reds and oranges would be a clear choice. Winter comes with cooler, deeper colours. Thinking about the season your wedding will be held in can really help with your decision making
Lush reds, deep pinks and orange are great for Autumn. Spring is a time for lighter, brighter colours and flowers
3. What comes naturally to you?
This one is probably the most important. You have to do you - go with your gut. Are you generally a more relaxed, easy-going person? Maybe a relaxed backyard-rustic theme is for you. Or do you like to be a bit more glam? Try adding some metallic elements and sparkles. Think about what you like to do, what you usually wear, and the things you decorate that space around you with. Do what comes naturally for you and everything will start to flow
